Improving energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources (RES) at Brkić Izumi d.o.o.

The project was co-financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU under the Recovery and Resilience Facility. The objective of the project is to support the recovery of economic and investment activities and to strengthen the competitiveness and green and digital transition of SMEs.

Development of a series of four-inlet fans for industrial plants

The project involved the development of a series of four-inlet fans protected by two patents. Two sizes from the series have already been installed in HŽ trains. Airflow simulations were carried out at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing for all fan sizes, and prototypes for all models in the series (132, 160, 200, 250, 315 and 400 mm) were produced using 3D printing and tested in an authorized laboratory. Production and inspection documentation was prepared, and equipment for CNC printing of rotationally symmetrical components was acquired.

Investment in a robotic welding process system and enhancement of business digitalization

As part of the call “Strengthening the Competitiveness of Enterprises Through Investments in the Digital and Green Transition,” a welding robotization and business digitalization project was implemented. Robotic welding enables more competitive products to be offered on the market while eliminating human error. The extraction of gases generated during welding and grinding has improved working conditions for employees while preventing the release of harmful gases into the atmosphere.

Commercialization of two series of industrial fans

The project for the commercialization of two patented fan series (NCV and NCVe) enabled the development of 114 fan configurations and the testing of 3 prototypes. The project contributes to sales growth in both domestic and foreign markets and to increasing the share of sales generated by high value-added products.

Implementation of ERP and software support for production

As part of the call “Improving the Competitiveness and Efficiency of SMEs Through Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) – 2,” a project was implemented to introduce a central IT system for process support, software for production monitoring, optimization of material consumption and production time, and 3D printing to support development activities.

Implementation of ISO certification to increase competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets

As part of the call “Introduction of Business Process and Quality Management Systems,” a project was implemented to introduce the following quality standards: ISO EN 3834, HRN EN 15085, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and GDPR. The project established the prerequisites for participation and competition in domestic and foreign markets.

Equipping a new anti-corrosion protection facility

As part of the “E-impuls” call, a project was implemented to equip a new anti-corrosion protection facility. The project enabled the establishment of a new business unit for anti-corrosion protection and the expansion of the capacity of the existing production hall through the installation of an overhead crane and the acquisition of welding equipment. Four new jobs were created, and promotional activities were carried out at an international trade fair.

Uslijed epidemije uzrokovane korona virusom, naše Društvo primilo je dugoročni zajam za obrtna sredstva od HAMAG BICRO u iznosu 750.000,00 kn. Approved amount nam je uvelike pomogao u prevladavanju novonastale situacije.
